Do you excel in
your magical studies? Are you responsible? Do you
prefer when you are in charge? If so, being a prefect or
head student seems your destiny. These students (some are
needed in each common room) are in charge of their house. They
are almost like second-in-command, after the teacher who is Head
of your house, of course. If you are intersted, here are
the details:
Prefects
Prefects should
be role-models for other students. They are like muggle
police in the corridors and common rooms, with the Head Student
as their police chief. Prefects are in charge of the
passwords for common rooms. The prefects will be given their
house's new password approximately every month and they will be
in charge of notifying the other members of their common room.
Therefore, one of the few requirements is that you don't mind
sending mail to a bunch of people or them gettting your email
address. This is essential!!!!! If you wish to
apply as a prefect, please send me an owl (email) with your
wizarding name, house, and year, and why
you think you should be a prefect. There are only
a limited number of prefect slots in each common room, so please
apply quickly! There is no guarentee that everyone
who applies is accepted, though. If you are, you will
eventually be placed on the List of Prefects in the Trophy Room.
These students
are the true "second-in-command". There can
be no more than two Head students (one boy and one girl) in a
given year. These students are in charge whenever a
teacher is not around. They have the ultimate power
from the students and are almost guarenteed a wonderful career
in their future with "Head Student of Hogwarts" on their
resume`. To apply for a Head Student, you must have
been a prefect for at least one year and be at least a second-year. And
it might also be smart to have a teacher recomend you (have them
send me a different email). If you want to be a Head Student,
please send me an owl (email) with your wizarding name,
year, and house, and why you think you deserve
this honor. A new Head Student will be chosen almost
every year. It is possible that the same Head Student may
remain Head Student, though, if he/she seems better for the job
than the other canidates. All Head Students will appear
on the List of Head Boys/ Girls in the Trophy Room.
