2000. The day that Cloaks of Wonder first appeared on the
muggle internet. We've come a long way since. But
sadly, I have some bad news.
As everyone
can tell, I've been having ALOT of trouble updating. I'm just
too busy. And school hasn't even started yet.
I didn't want
to shut everything down. I've worked so hard for the past
year and there's so many people out there that have become loyal
members. So, I decided I'd have to "change" it.
Unfortunately,
"changing" it means taking away almost all of the interactive
stuff. The emails are just becoming to much. Sadly,
you will no longer be able to be a student at Hogwarts. The
common rooms will remain, but they'll have easy passwords and
inside will be mostly info and maybe a poll or something. You
will be able to sort yourself and see which house you would have
been in, but you will no longer be able to actually be a student.
You also won't be able to get a vault or buy stuff. You
will be able to see items for sale, and maybe go on a wild cart
ride in Gringotts, but it will probably become more of a story
(Ex: You walk down the street and enter the building).
I'm really
sad to do this. But I am finally adding new features to make it
easier for fans to communicate with one another. I'm adding both
a Hogwarts
message board and a chat
room, so that fans can get each others opinions, talk about
rumors, ideas, etc. You will still be able to explore, and everything,
and I am finally going to add the secret tunnel to Hogwarts that
I meant to do in the first place. All this re-arranging probably
means that the only way to get to Hogwarts in thru London on the
Hogwarts Express, the long way. Also, if you are interested in
other sites, I'm going to be going thru my hundreds of links I
have bookmarked to find out which ones are still functioning and
which are gone, etc. Hopefully Cloaks of Wonder will still stay
a unique and interesting site, just different. All these changes
won't be immdiate, but will occur slowly over time.

3, 2001-
WOW!!!!! Talk
about a lack of updates. I am SO SORRY!!!!! I was really busy.
I am finally starting to update again (I just made some changes
on links and characters and re-uploaded). Soon I hope to
be able to sort everyone that joined (SORRY!). So for now,
please don't buy anything in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade. If
anyone has any better ideas for how I can manage the money and
vaults and not get overwhelmed, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!!! Thanks.
Look for more updates (hopefully) soon.

P.S. After
getting a bunch of emails saying "Somebody thinks you need
a Neopet" I finally joined and I LOVE IT!!!! Too bad
this site can't be like neopets, it would be so much better if

FINALLY!!!! I
have managed to upload, update, and the second term has officially
started. Letters have been sent out to second years. Be
sure to check out Cloaks of Wonder's first forum,
or message board, and leave a message. You'll also
notice that passwords have been installed to common rooms, so
if you are caught trying to break into another common room, you
will receive a detention! A "Link Patrol"
is needed to help me find out what links are still valid, etc;
if you are interested or wish to help, email
me, you will be rewarded! I am making a Free-for-all
links page where anyone can put their link up. Also:
which would you prefer for your common room, teacher's lounge,
etc.: a live chat room and/or a forum? I need feedback!!!!! Please
email me with what you'd prefer! If you don't, I won't
be able to add either. Thank you.
I apologize
to the people who don't have an email who have signed the guestbook
and asked about joining. It would be very diffucult
to join without an email, but I'll see what I can do. The
problem is, I'll have no way of notifying you. Just
continue to check back here (or maybe I'll post something in the
guestbook or forum). Maybe I could make a poll thing just
for you. Like I said, I'll see what I can do, but continue
to check back here. Thanx.

has put up the trailer for the HP movie comming in November. It's
EXCELLENT!!!!! While you're there, check out WB's kewl
new site- the official Hogwarts with Diagon Alley and Daily Prophet(where
trailer is) and much more. I recommend trying to look at
it, despite some errors. Check

9, 2001-
Freeservers
is being evil!!!! I can not upload everything that I need
to or update! I'm convinced there is a little virtual
man, or like Hal in 2001 (hey, that's now!), that lives
inside the Freeservers computer and doesn't like me or my site.
He is being evil to me- making AOL not cooperate with uploading
and deleting all the Fan Works stuff online and being plain cruel.
This is what
I meant to say about 4 weeks ago (and I still have a research
paper to do):
So much for
keeping up. I dunno, this message board idea isn't

Well, for anyone
who hasn't noticed, Cloaks of Wonder has gone through some major
remodeling. The links from "Other HP" have
been moved and added on our index page, as have some from the
Wizard intro. Speaking of the index, like the new layout?
I hope the links on the side look OK, they are perfectly
aligned on Adobe Pagemill on my computer, but when I tested it
on Internet Explorer, they were a little off. I tried to
fix it the best I could. Hope it looks OK...
There are new
updates almost everywhere- common rooms, vaults, links, fan works,
characters, quidditch, prefects, rumors, classes, library, etc,
etc. The Ministry of Magic should be up (hopefully);
check it out! Also remember that I keep records of
everything in my mailbox- who's joined, what they bought, how
much $ someone earned for something, how many points a house received
for some reason (ex: hw), etc. So please, don't send me
2 emails for the same thing. I have a lot of mail as
it is. Thanx.
Teachers- I
know the paychecks haven't come for a long time, I haven't forgotten
you. When I finally update all the vaults- $ earned and
$ spent- you'll get your pay. Like I said, I have records.
::evil grin:: I know- EVERYTHING!!!!! Ha-ha-ha!!!
